my deep leap

take a deep breath. breathe in...breathe out...hold your breath...

*big splash*

ok, that wasn't so bad. now, after years and years of being a voyeur and reading peoples weblogs, web journals, homepages, etc...in the days when most backgrounds were still that dreary seattle grey, i've taken the *deep leap* into the world of blogging. in the 90's when the web was still learning how to walk i used to be completely addicted to glassdog, soulflare, fray, afterdinner, 0sil8, flabjab, stating the obvious, suck, carl steadman...do you remember the good ole' days?

why? you may wonder am i doing this after years of refusing to publish my life on the web because the entire blogging thing is a double-edged sword, remember what happened to
justin hall? however, it's because i'm tired of whining and ranting about my life to my friends and i felt like i just wanted to throw everything out in there into the blogosphere for everyone to read. cheaper than therapy right? will i live to regret it down the road? perhaps, but for now i ready to take the plunge.

so here goes...

first of all i'm *old*. as in when i was in high school i saw U2 in concert the day bono turned *21*!!! argh, yes, i'm an absolute dinosaur. however the concert was incredible nonetheless. my friends and i knew all the lyrics to every song they played and sang our hearts out till we almost lost our voices. also, back in the 90's i attended a conference where steve jobs was a keynote speaker promoting the
*NeXT* computer when they still used a 386k processsor. can you imagine? oh, how i had such an enormous *crush* on him but i digress.

now, i'm blogging my life away. am i going through a *mid-life* crisis? yup, and blogging it for the entire digital realm to see. woohooo! ;-)
